Ok so the weather in Torbay isn’t always perfect, o ive decided to put together a small list of things perfect for those rainy days. If you think of any more then please contact me.
1. Paignton zoo, with plenty of indoor areas, including a desert themed area, and tropical rainforest, Paignton Zoo is a pretty good idea for those days when its not great weather but not awful, as there is still a fair bit of walking between exhibits. Paignton Zoo is pretty damn good and has been voted as one of the best in the country, housing many animals from Rhinos to Crocodiles. www.paigntonzoo.org.uk
2. Bowling – AMF bowling in Torquay, is a great activity for those rainy days, located just up the road from the town centre and surrounded by some nice resteraunts, a quick round of bowling followed by a nice meal could be a great option. Good resteraunts in the area include; Maha Bharat (Indian) Spice Club (Indian) and Jingles (Mexican) theres also a new Chinese resteraunt that has opened recently which i havn’t tried but looks like it could be a good option.
3. Go crazy at the Rainbow funhouse – A massive indoor play area built inside a converted old church, welcomes children and adults to play, with massive death slides and ball pools a great day is guaranteed. There is also a small resteraunt for the less adventurous adults who want to watch there children play. Located about 5 minutes from Torquay town centre. www.rainbowfunhouse.co.uk
4. Paint your own pottery at China Blue – One for the romantics or artists, china blue is in Totnes about 10-15 minutes from Paignton, either make your own pottery out of clay or paint pre made ceramic items, the choice is yours. Great fun to be had for all ages. www.china-blue.co.uk
5. Swim at the English riviera centre – A large sloped ‘fun pool’ with a wave machine and flumes, it is great fun for the family fully lifeguarded and well cleaned. www.rivieracentre.co.uk
